Deploying New Branding For Lead Generation

Work for Teton Sports, an outdoor brand based in Utah, focused on capturing their mission to make the outdoors comfortable, dependable, and easy for everyone. My task was to develop a complete visual identity system that authentically communicated Teton’s purpose and core values, while elevating its market presence across channels. I designed a modern, approachable brand image inspired by Grand Teton National Park, with visuals and messaging aimed at helping customers feel confident and inspired to explore.

Visual Identity & Brand Image

Nature Inspired Branding With Purpose

The first step was designing a logomark inspired by Mount Teton, paired with a rugged yet approachable logotype to communicate the reliability of Teton gear. This visual foundation set the tone for a brand that feels both strong and welcoming.

To set Teton Sports apart from more utilitarian brands like The North Face or Arc’teryx, I selected Geometos, a rounded main font that feels friendly and accessible. This was complemented by the script font News Junkie, which adds emphasis and personality to accent text.

The brand color palette draws directly from the landscape of Grand Teton National Park, incorporating the warm hues of sunset over the mountains, the vibrant blue of Jackson Lake, the cool greys of the peaks, and rich forest greens. To further evoke the outdoors, I developed a set of three custom textures that add depth and a sense of immersion across all materials. This branding work was created in close collaboration with Teton’s CEO, Scott Holmes.

The other major aspect of this project was the creation of packaging materials and product tags for Teton Sports’ two main product lines: camping backpacks and sleeping bags.

Custom technical illustrations were developed for three different backpack models, as well as for Teton’s best-selling item: the Celsius sleeping bag.
